Looking for new reviewers!

Hello!

We’re looking for new reviewers to join our merry crew. If you like writing about alternative music, then we’d love to hear from you! The position is unpaid, but our average hit count is about 100,000 a month (so that means quite a lot of exposure) and you’ll get access to some of the best new music around. The site is currently undergoing development so that it’ll be faster, leaner and generally more pleasing to look at, but that all takes time and effort, so the more writers, the better!

Please send samples of your work to ripper@twobeatsoff.co.uk. We expect two reviews a month, but we’re pretty flexible. While you’d start off on reviews, we’re happy to discuss putting together other features and possibilities.

Reviewers wanted!

Hey everyone!

Another recruitment drive for the TBO machine here. We had an absolutely fantastic year last year, and a lot of that was thanks to the amazing new contributors we took on in the summer. However, that does mean that we’re now doing better than ever and as a result, we’re getting sent a lot more material. We need some new writers to help us to cover as much as we can.

The position is unpaid, but you’ll be getting a ton of awesome music sent your way before the general public will get their hands on it, and you’ll be contributing to a fast growing site that receives over 100,000 hits a month. While we’re at current only looking for reviewers (both live and recorded material), there is plenty of opportunity to move onto other things once we get to know your style.

If you’re interested, please email ripper@twobeatsoff.co.uk with a sample of your work. Previous experience in this field is not necessary, but a passion for alternative music and the ability to write well is vital. We tend to expect two contributions per month from our writers, but we are flexible. We’re looking to take on another two reviewers at this time.

Just to let you know what’s going on…

Hey everyone!

I’m afraid the new build is taking me much longer than expected. I’m not exactly a pro at PHP and WordPress themes but I’m getting there and it’s a learning experience. We’re getting reviews out pretty regularly still, but we are sorry to any bands that have sent us their release and it’s taken us a while to get round to it. I’m going to be at Reading Festival next weekend so I’ll try and update the site with some new content before I go.

Even with three new reviewers, we’ve still got a lot of releases to cover! So if you’d like to contribute to TwoBeatsOff, then please, drop me an email (ripper@twobeatsoff.co.uk) with a sample of your writing.

Stay classy,
xoxo – Ripper

New writers request!

Hello, all!

As you may have realised, Kitteh and myself are basically the only two working on this zine at the moment. While we love it with all our hearts, it can get a bit difficult to get material out on time with just the two of us working on it and we’d love to be able to get the ball rolling on some other projects for the site. Therefore, TwoBeatsOff is looking for a few good reviewers. We don’t do news articles, like other websites, purely because there are so many other sites working on that. We do, however, do reviews, interviews and features based on the alternative scene.

So, we are specifically looking for REVIEWERS at this point in time, who may then get to work on interviews and features after I’ve seen enough of your work. The position is unpaid (we’re not exactly earning any money except site upkeep ourselves), but we get a lot of hits a month and if you’re blogging about music anyway, why not post it somewhere with a little more exposure? We can promise sweet new music to listen to, at the very least.

Email me at ripper@twobeatsoff.co.uk if you’re interested with some samples of your writing.

Thanks!
